FAQs
Why Do YOU Need a Travel Advisor?
What exactly does a travel advisor do?
A travel advisor is a professional who assists individuals in planning and booking their travel arrangements. They provide advice, recommendations, and guidance to clients, helping them choose the best destinations, accommodations, and activities for their trips.
Are travel advisors still relevant in the age of online booking?
ABSOLUTELY!! Travel advisors bring a human touch and personalized service that online booking platforms cannot replicate. They have firsthand knowledge of destinations, industry partnerships, and access to exclusive deals, ensuring a seamless and tailored travel experience.
Do I have to pay extra for using a travel advisor?
It all depends on the advisor. Some advisors charge a fee for any service they provide for you, while others charge fees for only those products that are non commissionable ,or for the time and training put into planning a unique itinerary that can’t be generated through a basic search through a supplier. Travel advisors earn commissions from the cruise lines, resorts, and other travel suppliers but there are other products where they do not earn a commission. If you click on my fees page you will see what services I may charge a fee for, however, for most basic packages like cruises and all inclusive packages no fee is applied.
Can travel advisors help with emergencies during a trip?
Yes, travel advisors provide support and assistance in case of unexpected events or emergencies. They have the resources and connections to help you modify travel plans, rebook flights, find alternative arrangements, ensuring your safety and peace of mind.
How can I find a reputable travel advisor?
You can find reputable travel advisors through referrals from friends, family, or online reviews. It’s also a good idea to check if they are members of credible travel associations like ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisor) or CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association). I am a member of both.
So, Overall what is the bottom line when it comes to the services provided by a travel advisor?
In your busy life the travel advisor can take the burden and time of planning any vacation, destination wedding, group travel, bachelor or bachelorette party for you by doing most, to all ,of the planning after asking you a few questions. Booking the trip for you and keeping up with the payments, or when payments and documents are due, monitoring your trip to see if they can apply any cost saving deals that may come up after you have booked the trip, share from their training and experience tips and tricks to help give you the best trip possible, and use their relationship with travel suppliers if any changes have to take place because of an issues that may arise. They are here to do most of the work for you to ensure your number one priority is to enjoy life and make memories.
