Day 1: Land at Honolulu airport, grab rental SUV, check into hotel, explore the island and the hotel on your own. Get acquainted wih your surroundings.

Day 2: Spend the day on Waikiki Beach. Take advantage of the amenities and the water sports that is available at the resort. In the evening take a drive up to the cliffs to see the lights of Honolulu at night.

Day 3: Spend the day at Pearl Harbor then take in some lunch and shopping in the shopping district in Honolulu. Pearl Harbor is free but you should secure your spot online beforehand. Some tours of Pearl Harbor are not free.

Day 4: Take an early morning drive to Diamond head for a hike to view the beautiful sunrise in the morning. Have some breakfast and then drive to the North Shore and spend the day at a quaint beach and the surfer villages and towns and fully embrace the Hawaiian surfer culture and history.

Day 5: Spend the day at the Hawaiian Reef park to swim with the sharks and the rays. Buy your tickets for this beforehand through your travel advisor to save money.

Day 6: Spend another day on the beach and take a ride on an Outrigger canoe. In the evening attend a Luau and then watch the Friday night fireworks display that happens on Waikiki Beach every Friday night. Purchase your Luau tickets with your travel advisor beforehand to get a better price.

Day 7: After breakfast, spend the morning at the famers market and sample local treats and cuisine at the Kapiolani Community College. Then visit the Royal Palace, the only one in the United States. After go back to the hotel and spend your last day in Hawaii on the beautiful beaches of Waikiki.

Day 8: Check out of hotel and fly back home until next time!
